11 October 2010 / ERRP / 0 Comment
Last week Health and Human Services kept the ball rolling on the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program with two important announcements.
The first announcement coming on October 1st, announced that plan sponsors are now able to complete the following processes in the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program Secure Website (SWS) in preparation for reimbursement:
- Assign and Manage Designees
- Register as a Designee
- Update Banking Information
- Complete Early Retiree List Setup
- Submit Early Retiree Lists
- Receive Early Retiree List Response Files
- Manage Information about Early Retirees
- Assign Account Manager Reimbursement Privileges
Important functions of the website are going to be introduced in phases. Latter on this month, Plan Sponsors will be able to submit Summary Cost Data and Reimbursement Requests. For more information and details on these important steps please visit http://errp.gov/news_events.shtml.
HHS also announced a new round of approved applicants to the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program October 4th. Around 1,000 large and small businesses, state and local governments, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and unions have been accepted into the program according to HHS. With this recent approval of applicants the number of organizations that will be receiving subsidy is now up to nearly 3,000. These organizations can now begin the preparations necessary to submit claims in order to receive reimbursements for their early retirees this fall.
It is important to note that more announcements about ERRP will be released in the next few weeks. Please continue to monitor these updates as the will be the best way to ensure that your organization will receive their available subsidy dollars.

ERRP Is One Step Closer
05 October 2010 / ERRP / 0 Comment
As participants in the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program, you should be aware that you have been receiving notices from ERRP announcing their progress on data submission for all applicants under ERRP. Based on information published today on the ERRP website, we at RDS Services have a understanding as to how "early retiree" member data is to be formatted and the process by which to submit this information. With that said, ERRP still has NOT provided final guidance or capability on their "secured website" to be able to submit "claim" data or requests for subsidy dollars.
We are currently compiling subscriber and member information for our clients in a list format and verifying any "questionable" retiree information or missing data fields (i.e. missing social security numbers, in-complete names). Once "member data" is verified we will be able to complete the initial submission files and will be ready to interact with ERRP as soon as they give us the capability to submit.

ERRP Announcment
22 September 2010 / ERRP / 0 Comment
Last Friday, September the 17th, HHS made some announcements regarding the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (ERRP). For the 2000 Applications that have already been approved, you can now register on the ERRP website (www.errp.gov), view Applications and navigate the ERRP website. Moreover, HHS provided some insight as to the next steps plan sponsors can take to prepare for ERRP reimbursements. Much like the RDS program, HHS indicated that the first step in the data submission process will be providing “retiree lists” to the ERRP center. Again, similar to RDS, plan sponsors will have the choice of submitting lists via upload from the ERRP secure website (SWS) or via a mainframe connection to the ERRP Data Center mainframe. Read more
