Purpose of Role

The RDS (Retiree Drug Subsidy Program) Account Manager/Data Analyst should possess strong analytical skills, quantitative and problem-solving abilities and a thorough knowledge of all time-sensitive tasks related to the Retiree Drug Subsidy (RDS) program. This position will require excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with data systems team members, vendors and clients. Their additional responsibility is to also serve as the liaison between their RDS clients and vendors. The Account Manager/Data Analyst will work on all time-sensitive tasks related to the RDS program, and understands all aspects relating to the RDS website and RDS database.

We are looking for a candidate who has strong administrative skills, multi-task abilities, proficiency in excel. This person must be an expert in time-management, possess strong customer service skills, can create good relationships with clients and vendors, and interaction with the entire RDS team to accomplish the goals of the company

Duties

  •  Work with Program Manager/Account Managers to Assess Data Requirements
  • Work with Program Manager/Account Manager during New Client Start-up, RDS Re-Opening Opportunities, RDS Administration and RDS Reconciliations
  • Attend meetings as needed with RDS Program Manager, Database Programmers and Program Analysts to discuss data issues, database application, RDS changes and updates, client deadlines, etc.
  • Analyze complex data systems and document data elements, data flow, relationships and dependencies
  • Requesting of pertinent RDS Reopening membership and claims data from the assigned vendors
  • Verifying whether data from the vendors is both substantial enough and suitable for importing into the internal company database
  • Communicating to the Data Analysts when data is ready for review and maintaining a workflow schedule for follow ups when needed
  • Develop automated and reusable routines for extracting requested information from database
  • Compile detailed reports using data reporting tools such as Excel
  • Work with Program Developers and Management providing input regarding company data standards and practices
  • Work in partnership with Program Manager and Database Developers to build data transactional and warehouse systems
  • Assist with data aggregation projects and application development activities
  • Responsible for prescription and medical claims data integrity, data scrubbing, and ad hoc reporting
  • Analyze and Audit data for quality assurance
  • Facilitate communications with RDS team members
  • Quality control inspection of data and working with a data dictionary
  • Maintain knowledge of RDS policies and procedures
  • Rely upon experience/judgment, in conjunction with applying data Excel/SQL procedures, to solve problems
  • Manage ongoing administration of the RDS program
  • Obtain retiree information from clients, prepare via RDS database, and upload to CMS as needed
  • Upload response, weekly notification, and part D notifications into RDS database
  • Identify and resolve subsidy issues and other administration issues as needed
  • Understand and interpret “Reason Codes”, and give guidance to clients on communicating to Medicare eligible retirees
  • Coordinate and complete client applications 90 days prior to each new plan year. Request 30-day extension if necessary
  • Coordinate and complete client reconciliations prior to 15 months after an application plan year
  • Assist in the review of claims data received by carriers (PBMs), make corrections, and submit to CMS for subsidy payment
  • Communicate important RDS program notifications to clients and complete or assist in updating RDS website as needed
